monogamy
Octopus, pigeon, and queen of the night.
This painting is about unicity, and both of the animals are monogamous. The pigeon picks the partner for life instead of the octopus, and after mating, dies.
Both of them are monogamists, but differently.
The Queen of the Night is a Mexican flower that blooms just once, during the night, to die right after.
Oil on canvas.
